Weekly take-home pay for rideshare drivers
Income, expenses and taxes for Uber, Bolt and Blue drivers in one simple app, built natively and separately for iPhone and Android.
- SwiftUI
- SwiftData
- Jetpack Compose
- Room
- RevenueCat

Rideshare drivers are paid by several platforms, pay for fuel, maintenance and fleet commission, and in Romania often work as a PFA with their own taxes to estimate. The question they actually care about is simple: what did I take home this week?
The problem
Platform apps show earnings per platform, not the week as a whole. Expenses live in receipts and memory, and taxes such as TVA, CASS, CAS and income tax are a calculation most drivers would rather not do by hand. iDrive brings all of it into one place, without asking for any accounting knowledge.
What it does
- Income for any platform. Log daily earnings with trips, cash, tips and refunds. Since version 2.2, platforms are fully customizable: rename, recolor, enable or disable them to match where you drive.
- Taxes, estimated. For Romanian drivers working as a PFA or for a fleet, iDrive estimates TVA, CASS, CAS and income tax, with a receipt that shows how every figure is reached.
- Expenses with deductibility. Fuel, car maintenance, fleet commission and other costs, each marked as deductible or not.
- A clear weekly summary. The week’s real profit and take-home, before payday.

Two native apps
I built iDrive as two separate native apps rather than one shared codebase: SwiftUI and SwiftData on iOS, and Kotlin with Jetpack Compose, Room and Hilt on Android. Each one follows its own platform’s conventions and uses RevenueCat for the iDrive Pro subscription, which adds unlimited entries, logging reminders, advanced reports and deeper customization.
It was a deliberate counterpoint to iBeauty: the same kind of problem, solved with native tools on each platform, so I keep both skills sharp and can choose the right approach for each product.
Where it is now
iDrive launched on the App Store in December 2025 and has shipped regular updates since; version 2.2 opened it up to rideshare drivers anywhere with customizable platforms. iDrive is an independent tool and is not affiliated with any rideshare platform.
