An AI productivity companion, and my first app on my own

An iPhone assistant for planning the day, with AI chat, reminders and tasks, morning syncs and evening debriefs, and memory of what matters to you. The first app I took from idea to the App Store on my own.

After four years at Unified Practice, I left to find out whether I could build a product on my own, from the first idea to the App Store. OmniAssistant was that product.

What it does

OmniAssistant is an AI productivity companion for the iPhone. It helps you plan, organise and get through the day:

  • AI collaboration. Plan, discuss and break down tasks, brainstorm ideas and get answers in a conversation.
  • Reminders and tasks. Tasks with priority levels and reminders, so deadlines don’t slip.
  • Daily syncs. A Morning Sync to plan the day’s priorities and an Evening Debrief to review what got done.
  • Integrations. Google Calendar and Gmail, so plans and messages meet in one place.
  • Web and news search. Up-to-date answers inside the conversation, without switching apps.
  • Long-term memory. Omni remembers the important things you tell it, so every conversation starts from what it already knows.

How it is built

The app is native SwiftUI, with Firebase for accounts and data and a Python backend for the AI work and automations. It shipped on the App Store in March 2025 with a Pro subscription.

What it changed

OmniAssistant was where I learned the whole loop of making a product alone: positioning, the App Store listing, pricing, support and updates, on top of the code. Everything I build today, starting with iBeauty, stands on what I learned shipping it.
